We have been working with Richard Evans at TBS Norwich since February 2014 when we set up our brand new business, Barefoot Retreats. Over the last 2 years or so, Richard has been a tremendous support to us, both on a financial and strategic level, helping to put solid foundations and sound business processes in place to ensure that our business is as profitable and efficient as it can be. Through regular forecasting and management of our accounts, we are able to track the growth and potential of our business and understand where our focus needs to be to achieve our short, medium and long term objectives. He has been invaluable in providing business plans for our second business which we launched in February 2016.
On a personal level, Richard is extremely personable and is always willing to go that extra mile to ensure that deadlines are met and any issues are resolved as quickly as possible. He very much thinks outside of the box and always provides good solutions when asked. Although not an employee of the business, Richard is a very valued member of our team.
Richard has been coming to see us for many years to help with our bookkeeping and accounts on Sage. He is always keen to help with business decisions and is open to discuss the possibilities and help us make the right decisions for the business backed up with good information.
During his time with us Richard has helped on various areas of our business, such as pricing our products and helping us keep up to date with modern software and technology. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Richard to help us with.
We engaged TBS Norwich to help us transfer from Quickbooks Enterprise Desktop to Quickbooks Online and Dear Inventory. They were recommended by Intuit directly as a cloud specialist in our area.
Richard took responsibility for transferring our data to the cloud and produced instruction manuals for us to use with the new system. Since the transfer took place Richard has personally made sure that any issues we have faced have been resolved and corrected often for no additional fees.
I have used TBS Norwich since I commenced trading as a Retailer in the Musgrave group. Richard’s initial training helped me keep accurate accounting records for the store, and the management accounts he has produced from Sage records have given me a true reflection of the store performance. Our Year End process is straightforward as most issues are dealt with throughout the year.
TBS Norwich have been helping us for the last three years. They have moved us on to Quickbooks Online and made our invoicing process easier.
They are always there for us when we need to discuss business decisions and help us stay focused and moving forward with our business.
They care about the business as much as we do and we feel like they want us to succeed and we are not just another client.
We have worked with TBS Norwich for over seven years, during that time Richard has helped us implement back office controls and procedures to improve our accounting records. He has also trained us to use Sage. Both of these things mean we now get accurate monthly Management Accounts which is a far cry from where we were when we first employed them.
Richard has always responded positively to additional tasks, giving us extra information or reviewing new business plans and assisting preparation of extra information for Musgrave or Barclays.
We have been working with TBS Norwich since they came to help us set up Quickbooks and get our accounts straight. Over 10 years later and we are using them as much as ever for all of our accounting plus advice on technology and developing the business.
Richard has always been eager to move the business forward and help improve our systems. We have recently completed our move of data to the cloud, and are enjoying using the new apps that are bringing greater efficiency to our business.
